IB Product Helper Extension Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the IB Product Helper Chrome extension (the “Extension”) processes data when used in Instabuyer workflows.
1. Extension purpose
The Extension is used for internal/operational Instabuyer workflows on supported Amazon and iHerb product pages, including product verification, data submission to Instabuyer, and screenshot capture during user-initiated actions.
2. Data the extension may process
- page-visible product details (for example: product title, price, URL, and product identifiers);
- workflow technical metadata (for example: event timestamps and operation status);
- product page screenshots created during user-initiated workflow actions;
- authentication/session data required to interact with Instabuyer services.
3. How data is used
Data is used only to provide and support the core functionality of the Extension and Instabuyer services, including:
- product verification and confirmation workflows;
- submitting product workflow data to Instabuyer;
- linking screenshots to workflow records in Instabuyer;
- displaying action status and results in the extension UI.
4. Data transfer
The Extension may transfer data only to Instabuyer services:
https://api.instabuyer.app— Instabuyer API;https://app.instabuyer.app— web application and authentication flows;https://media.instabuyer.app— uploaded media delivery (if applicable).
The Extension does not sell user data and does not use user data for advertising targeting.
5. Local storage
The Extension uses Chrome local storage (chrome.storage.local) to store operational state such as
authentication state, popup cache, recent workflow events, and screenshot metadata/status.
6. Website access
The Extension operates only on a limited set of supported Amazon and iHerb domains defined in its configuration
(host_permissions / content_scripts.matches).
7. Remote code
The Extension does not load or execute remote code (such as remote JavaScript or WebAssembly). Network requests are used only to exchange data with Instabuyer services.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect data during transmission and processing. However, no method of transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. The current version will be published on this page.
